The Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange (OSBIE) is a non-profit insurance reciprocal with 120 members, representing 80 school boards/school authorities and 40 Joint Ventures in Ontario. The primary goals of the Exchange are to insure member school boards against losses, and to promote safe school practices.

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that the OSBIE head office in Guelph is situated on the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This land has long served as a place of meeting, gathering, and refuge for many peoples, and is built upon rich Indigenous histories.

As we live and work across this land, we recognize our responsibility to respect and care for it, the people who call them home, and the generations to come. In the spirit of reconciliation, we are committed to thoughtful, intentional actions that honour this responsibility.

What Our Members are Saying

When we had a cyber breach, OSBIE was our first call. They quickly secured legal counsel for us and then OSBIE’s elite provider of cyber security – Kroll – stepped in. They isolated the threat and assisted in restoring services. The expert response took the pressure away from a very loaded and difficult situation.
